Serve rice soon after the 10-minute resting period. * Leaving rice in the cooking pot after Keep Warm mode has turned off. Remove cooked rice from cooker. * Not rinsing the rice thoroughly. Rinse rice until the water runs clear. * Dirty components. Clean and dry the cooking pot, inner lid and/or steam vent thoroughly. * Leaving the plastic scoop in the cooking pot. Remove the plastic scoop and all accessories from the rice cooker before using.
