The TOTO Automatic Urinal Flush Valve, model TEA99 V100 (Concealed AC type), is an electrical appliance designed for automatic flushing of urinals. This instruction manual provides comprehensive information on its operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description:
The primary function of the TEA99 V100 is to provide automatic, touchless flushing for urinals, enhancing hygiene and water efficiency. It utilizes an infrared sensor for user detection and offers both automatic and manual flushing options.
Operation:
- Detection: An infrared sensor detects a user standing in front of the urinal within approximately 80 cm.
- Flushing: Water flushes automatically when the user moves away from the urinal.
- Manual Flushing: A manual flushing button is provided for optional flushing.
- Auto-setting for Detection Zone: The device features an auto-setting function for the detection zone, eliminating the need for manual adjustment during use.

Maintenance Features:
The manual provides detailed instructions for troubleshooting common issues and performing maintenance.
Troubleshooting:
The troubleshooting section addresses three main issues:
- Water does not stop flowing:
- Check inside parts: Unplug power and solenoid valve connectors, remove the cover panel. Tighten the water shutoff valve. Remove the flush valve to check the plug. Check for dirt clogging holes, film base, or valve base, and clean with a brush if necessary. Reinstall the cleaning hole and pin correctly. Rotate the water shutoff valve and resume water supply. Reconnect power and solenoid valve connectors, reinstall the cover.
- Note: When reinstalling, ensure the cleaning pin is behind the solenoid valve and "TOTO" on the solenoid valve is upwards to ensure proper operation.
- No water comes from the flush valve:
- Check power supply and circuit: If power supply and circuit are OK, check if solenoid valve wires are well connected.
- Check water supply and shutoff valve: Rotate to open if closed. If still no water, remove and reinstall power connectors, holding for 3 minutes.
- Sensor lights: If sensor lights are off or blinking, or on when the urinal is not used, or on only when the urinal is used, and no water comes from the flush valve, connect power supply or solve power supply defects. The system will finish auto-setting within 3 to 10 minutes after power connection. Always cut power supply before checking.
- The water flushing volume is not appropriate:
- Adjust water shutoff valve: Disconnect wire connectors, remove the decorative panel. Tighten the water shutoff valve. Open the valve cover and remove the filter. Clean any dirt on the filter with a brush. Open the water shutoff valve and adjust the flushing water to the appropriate volume. Reconnect wire connectors and reinstall the decorative panel.
- Low water pressure: If water pressure is less than 0.07MPa, the flushing volume may be small. In this case, open the valve cover with a hex nuts tool and remove the constant flow valve and clamp ring.
Cleaning and Care:
- Cover Cleaning: When the flush valve cover is stained, wipe it with a cloth soaked in properly diluted neutral detergent. Then wipe off the detergent with a water-soaked cloth (well-wrung) and finally wipe with a dry cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Never use cleanser, polishing powder detergent (especially those with coarse particles), gent, or a nylon scrub brush, as these can damage the appliance's surface. Exercise caution not to damage the infrared sensor's surface during cleaning.
Safety Precautions:
The manual emphasizes several safety warnings and cautions:
- Prohibited actions: Do not install in areas prone to water contact or high humidity, do not disassemble, do not use a loose outlet, do not splash water on power plug or function parts, do not handle power cord with excessive force, do not hit the valve cover, do not install in freezing places, do not install throttle valves that block water flow.
- Required actions: Hold the power plug main body when unplugging, plug the power plug securely, close the water shutoff valve before cleaning the filter.
- Power supply: Only use the specified AC 220V power plug. Use outlets and wiring appliances within specifications to prevent heat accumulation or fire.
- Thunderstorms: Do not touch the power plug during a thunderstorm.
This comprehensive overview ensures users can effectively operate, maintain, and troubleshoot their TOTO Automatic Urinal Flush Valve, promoting longevity and optimal performance.
