TOYOTA ─ Remote Engine Starter Page 4
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Caution
Do not start the engine with the body cover still on the vehicle.
The exhaust tube and emissions are capable of starting a fire
at high temperatures.
Caution
To help reduce the risk of injury during engine service, the
Remote Engine Starter will not function while the hood is open.
Caution
When performing vehicle service. Remove the negative cable
terminal from vehicle battery and keep the remote
control/vehicle key fob in a safe and secure place.
Caution
Keep coin-type batteries out of reach of small children. Should
a child swallow a battery, consult a physician immediately.
Notice
Always turn off vehicle systems such as the windshield wipers,
headlights and radio before leaving the vehicle. If left on, such
systems may be damaged or vehicle battery depleted by
remote engine start in extreme cold weather. Check that all
vehicle windows are closed and all doors locked before leaving
the vehicle.
Notice
Only use the Remote Engine Starter when you intend to drive
the vehicle; excessive engine starting consumes fuel and
battery power.
