This document describes a 4-channel big digit timer, designed for various timing applications with both countdown and count-up functionalities, along with a clock and alarm features.
The device features a jumbo LCD display capable of showing 4 channels simultaneously. It can operate as a countdown timer, a count-up timer, and a clock. The display shows 6 digits, allowing for settings of hours, minutes, and seconds for both timers and the clock.
As a countdown timer, it can be set for a maximum duration of 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, resolving down to 1 second. Once a countdown timer reaches zero, it automatically switches to a count-up mode. The device also includes a memory recall function specifically for countdown timers, allowing users to quickly retrieve previous settings. An alarm sounds for one minute when a countdown timer reaches zero.
For count-up timing, the device can track time up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, also with 1-second resolution. If a count-up timer reaches its maximum range, it will restart counting from 00 hours, 00 minutes, and 00 seconds.
The device also functions as a clock, displaying the current time in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.
Clock Mode: To enter clock mode, press and hold the clock button. The display will show the preset time (hours, minutes, and seconds) with a flashing colon. To toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour formats, press and hold the START/STOP button for 3 seconds.
Clock Setting Mode: To set the clock, press and hold the clock button for 3 seconds until a beep is heard. In this mode, "HOUR," "MINUTE," "SECOND," and the colon will flash on the display. If in 12-hour format, a "P" indicator will be shown. To adjust the hour, press the HOUR button. Pressing and holding it for 2 seconds enables fast setting. Similarly, press the MINUTE button to adjust minutes, with a 2-second hold for fast setting. The second digits can be reset to zero by pressing the "S" button when they are within the 00-29 second range; if they are within 30-59 seconds, pressing "S" will reset them to zero and advance the minute digits by one. Once the clock setting is complete, press the clock button once to return to the normal clock display mode.
Count-Down Timer Setting: The device supports four independent timer channels (T1, T2, T3, T4). To set a desired timer channel, press its corresponding button (T1, T2, T3, or T4). In timer mode, the colon will not flash, and the specific timer indicator (e.g., "T1") will be displayed. To set the hour digits, press the HOUR button. To set the minute digits, press the MINUTE button. To set the second digits, press the SECOND button. For faster adjustment of any digit, press and hold the respective HOUR, MINUTE, or SECOND button for 2 seconds. To clear a specific countdown timer and its memory to 00H00M00S, press the CLEAR button. Individual digits can also be cleared: press HOUR and CLEAR simultaneously for the hour digit, MINUTE and CLEAR for the minute digit, and SECOND and CLEAR for the second digit.
Count-Down Timer START/STOP: After setting a timer, press the START/STOP button once to begin the countdown at 1-second resolution. To pause the counting timer, press START/STOP once again. Pressing START/STOP a third time will resume the countdown.
Count-Down Timer Alarm: When a timer counts down to 0:00 00 in its active timer mode, the buzzer will sound. If the timer counts down to 0:00 00 but is not the currently displayed timer, the buzzer will still sound, but its corresponding indicator will flash at a slower rate. If two timers reach 0:00 00 simultaneously, the timer displayed will sound, and the other's indicator will flash slower. To stop the timer alarm and the count-up timer (if it has started), press any button.
Count-Down Memory Recall: To recall a previously set timer, press the START/STOP button. To start the recalled timer, press START/STOP again.
Stop Watch Mode: To use the stop watch function, first clear the current timer by pressing the CLEAR button. Then, press the START/STOP button to begin counting up at 1-second resolution. To stop the count-up, press START/STOP again. If the timer counts up to its maximum of 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, it will automatically restart counting from 00 hours, 00 minutes, and 00 seconds.
General Timer Operation: When a timer is running, its corresponding indicator (T1, T2, T3, T4) will flash on the display. All four timers can operate concurrently. When a timer reaches 0:00 00, the buzzer will sound, and its corresponding indicator will flash at a relatively slower rate. Multiple indicators can flash simultaneously if multiple timers reach zero.
Battery Replacement: To replace the battery, use a coin to open the battery cover located on the back of the timer. Turn the cover approximately one-quarter of a turn counter-clockwise. Remove the depleted battery and insert a new 1.5V G-13 size button cell battery, ensuring the positive '+' side is facing up. Then, close the battery cover securely.
