  If your Tractel Lifting Systems motor suddenly shuts off after extended use, it's likely due to overheating from inadequate cooling, supply voltage being too high or low, an ambient temperature exceeding 40°C, or operation at altitudes above 1000 m. To resolve this, ensure sufficient cooling, have an electrician measure the voltage and power consumption under load, and incorporate more frequent breaks during operation.

  If a suspended load continues to lower slowly when stopped with Tractel Lifting Systems, it may be caused by a defective or dirty operating brake (spring-loaded brake) on the hoist, or an incorrect wire rope diameter / wire rope diameter too small. In the first instance, lower the suspended load down to the ground and send the hoist to the manufacturer for repairs or hand it over to a specialist hoisting gear workshop. In the second, replace incorrect wire ropes with specified wire ropes.

  If your Tractel Lifting Systems motor hums or the rope drive creaks while still allowing upward and downward movement, it could be due to several reasons. The brake may not be opening because the power supply, brake coil, or rectifier are defective, or the brake rotor is worn. Alternatively, there might be dirt in the rope drive, or the wire rope and rope drive might be damaged. Have the power supply, brake coil, and rectifier checked by an electrician, and repair or replace them as needed. If the brake rotor is worn or there is damage to the rope drive, replace the hoist as soon as possible and have it checked/repaired by TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH or an authorized hoisting gear workshop.

When available, install a new wire rope in replacement hoist.

Replace the hoist as soon as possible and have it checked / repaired by TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH or an authorized hoisting gear workshop.
