TE-Series ProXpress 100Mbps
Ethernet Adapters
Utilizing the high-speed 100Base-TX technology, TRENDware
has developed a 32-bit Bus Mastering PCI Ethernet Adapter for
computers that are equipped with PCI Bus Slots. This adapter runs in
bus master mode, directly sending and receiving Ethernet packets to and
from memory, using minimum aid from the CPU. It complies with IEEE
802.3 standards and transmits data over the Ethernet network at 10 or
100Mbps. It also operates in full-duplex mode, doubling the network
bandwidth to 20 or 200Mbps.
For flexibility, the TE100-PCI comes with one RJ-45 port to
support your existing 10Base-T or 100Base-TX category 5 UTP cable.
The adapter automatically senses either 10Mbps or 100Mbps and the
speed is determined by the kind of hub to which the adapter is
connected. Even if you are not quite ready for 100Mbps performance,
you can deploy TE100-PCI adapters today at 10Mbps and have built-in
100Mbps capability for tomorrow. Migration to 100Mbps speed can now
be easily accomplished, without wasting your investment in hardware,
management tools or training.
