Disposal of Used Engine Oil and Oil Filters
To protect the environment, do not pour oil on the ground, down sewers or drains, or
into watercourses.
Do not place used oil filters in with general waste. If in doubt contact your local
authority.
Oil Pump – Removal
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
Perform the following operations:
• Seat - Removal
• Battery - Removal
• Fuel Tank - Removal
• Engine - Removal
• Lower Crankcase - Removal
1. Remove and discard the circlip.
2. Remove the hardened washer and the oil pump drive gear.
