Fuel Level Sensor – Removal
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
Observe the warning advice given in the General Information section on the safe
handling of fuel and fuel containers.
A fire, causing personal injury and damage to property could result from spilled fuel or
fuel not handled or stored correctly.
Perform the following operations:
• Fuel Pump Assembly - Removal
The mounting for the fuel level sensor is located inside the fuel tank. The illustration
shows the bracket outside the fuel tank for clarity.
1. Release the locking device and slide the fuel level sensor rearwards to release the two
locating lugs from the bracket.
2. Remove the fuel level sensor.
