Dismonrlinf Clutch
Clutch Plates. Withdraw the bonried and plain plates from the housing.
When this stoge is reached, no further dismantling
is
necessary
if
only service relined plates
ore to be fitted. On the other hond,
if
it is desirable to overhoul the shock obsorber unit,
proceed'os below. For the overage owner the changing of the shock obsorber rubbers
con be more easily effected with the clutch in situ.
If
the shock absorber shows no sign of wwr, the
uni:
should not be disturbed, the operator
proceeding with dismantling from (Clutch Push
Rod.

Shock Absorber
Outer
Retaining Plate. Unscrew the four

B.A.
countersunk
screws and remove the plate.
Engine Mainshaft
Nut.
Remove the mainshaft nut and withdraw the rotor or
sleeve
as
the case may be.
Brake Pedal.
First engage
TOP
gear and then replace the pedal
on
iu
spindle,
connecting up the operating rod. Depress the pedal
to
its
fullest extent and wedge
by inserting a suitable tool between rhe arm and the stop.
