Dismantling Spring
Wheel

plunger Guide Box Assembly. Withdraw the assembly from the'hub.

Brake Drum and Sprocket.
Bend back the four locking tabs and remove the
i
eight nuts securing the brake drum to the hub. Remove the brake drum and
sprocket and, using a suitably shaped piece of hard wood, drift out the brake drum
side bearing.
!
End Plate Bearing.
Tap out this bearing using
a
suitable soft drift.
Removal
can be facilitated by heating the back plate to approximately
100'
C.
DISMANTLING THE ANCHOR PLATE ASSEMBLY

Brake Shoes.
Remove the two springs and lift the brake shoes away.

Brake Cam.
Remove the brake lever arm retaining nut and drift the cam spindle
I
out, when the lever arm and spring will also be released.
