How to fix Troy-Bilt CSV 070 when engine fails to start?
    • B
      brendaramosJul 26, 2025
If your Troy-Bilt Yard Vacuum engine won't start, make sure the throttle lever is in the FAST or START position. Also, check that the engine switch is in the ON position and the spark plug wire is connected. Ensure the choke is in the CHOKE position, the fuel tank has fresh gasoline, and the fuel shut-off valve is open. A faulty spark plug may also be the cause, so clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. Finally, confirm the bag is correctly secured and the bag/chute switch button is fully depressed.

Why does my Troy-Bilt CSV 070 engine run erratic?
    • J
      Jennifer MitchellJul 31, 2025
If your Troy-Bilt Yard Vacuum engine runs erratically, first ensure the spark plug boot is securely connected and tightened. Check that the unit isn't running on CHOKE; if it is, move the choke lever to the OFF position. A blocked fuel line or stale fuel could also be the problem, so clean the fuel line and refill the tank with fresh gasoline. Make sure the engine is running at full throttle. Additionally, drain the fuel tank and refill it with fresh fuel to eliminate water or dirt in the fuel system. For a dirty air cleaner or carburetor issues, it is best to refer to the engine manual or see an authorized service dealer.
