A. To convert to side discharge, lift the
mulch plug.

on the handle

with your foot.
A. Tighten star knobs
securing upper
and lower handles
together.
Pivot the handle
into operating
position. Be careful
not to crimp cables.
The handle height can be adjusted to one of two
positions. Push down on the handle adjustment
lever with your foot and place the handle into the
most comfortable operating position.

B. Slide two hooks of side discharge chute under
hinge pin on mulch plug assembly and position
hole in the chute over and onto the deck stud
located behind the discharge opening. Lower
mulch plug.
C. Secure the chute to the mowing deck by
threading wing knob included in the manual
bag onto the deck stud.

Summary

Mower Assembly and Handle Adjustment

Secure Handles and Adjust Lever

Tighten star knobs, push handle adjustment lever, and pivot handle into position.

Adjust Handle Height

Adjust handle height by pushing the adjustment lever and positioning the handle.

Convert to Side Discharge

Lift mulch plug, attach side discharge chute, and secure with wing knob.

Engine Preparation and Starting

Add Oil and Fuel

Pour oil into the fill and check level with dipstick. Fill fuel tank with fresh gasoline.

Prepare for Engine Start

Ensure spark plug boot is connected. Pull starter rope slowly then rapidly to start.
