c) For Digital TV (ATSC) by Air
(antenna is source) programming:
i) TV Mode = DTV Air
ii) TV Type = ATSC
d) For Digital TV (ATSC) by Cable
(cable is source) programming:
i) TV Mode = DTV Cable
ii) TV Type = QAM STD (most common setting)
NOTE: Depending on your cable provider
the QAM STD setting may result in zero
channels found. It may be necessary to
adjust your TV Type setting to
TV Type = QAM HRC or TV Type = QAM IRC.
ENTERING AUTO SCAN PROCEDURE – Analog or Digital Tuner
12. Press START SCAN
The automatic search screen will scan through channels and list the number of TV channels that are
found. The display will show “Searching…..Please Wait. Press Exit (or STOP SCAN) button to cancel.”
13. Once the scan procedure has been completed press the CONTROL MENU key.
14. You can scroll through the recently found channels by pressing the CHANNEL + OR – key.
15. If the scanner selected a channel that you do not want then select that channel by using the CHANNEL
+ OR – key, and then press the DELETE key to remove it from the selection list.
16. This completes the AUTO SCAN PROCEDURE.
17. To exit perform the following steps:
a) From the TV TUNER SETUP screen press the RETURN key.
b) From the UTILITIES screen press the EXIT key.
c) From the MAINTENANCE screen press the EXIT key to return to the HOME screen.
