Configuring the
Airborne Particle
Counter
Before you can start using your AeroTrak Remote Particle Counter with
Analog Outputs, you will need to configure it. This is completed using a
computer with an Ethernet crossover cable as shown in the figure below.
The particle counter will need power to be configured.
Note: To configure the Remote Particle Counter, you must have a
Crossover Ethernet Cable.
Setting t h e IP Addr e s s of the Airbor n e
Partic l e C ounter
By default, each Airborne Particle Counter is shipped with an Ethernet
address of 192.168.200.90. Since the IP address is fixed, before the
remote Airborne Particle Counter can communicate with your computer,
you must assign an IP address to it that is compatible with your network.
An example is shown below using Windows
®
XP operating system. Other
operating systems and browsers should be similar.
