The exterior cylinder housing is fastened with the same screws that was previously used for
the thumbturn knob, and now holds the cover plate. It is important that you do not tighten
the screws holding the exterior cylinder housing at this stage; you must be able to move
around the door plate to be able to fit the outer spacer.
Step 20
Mount the new handles from the ID-Lock Smart kit, starting with the inside of the door. You
may have to cut the screws to fit the thickness of your door. It is easier to start with one
screw already threaded through the handle (the right-hand screw in the picture below) or
both screws, before you try to push the screws through the door.
