Storage
To store the LS–22 Lawn Seeder over an extended
period, clean all surfaces and remove any remaining
seed from the hopper. Do not power wash. High pressure
wash will force water into the sealed bearings and will
remove the needed lubricating grease. Low pressure
wash the entire machine. Apply a film of light machine oil
to the blades to control rust. See the lubrication directions
and follow the procedures for lubrication of drive train
components and grease fittings. Remove fuel from gas
tank and run engine until carburetor is empty. Prepare
engine in accordance with engine manufacturer’s
directions.
Before returning the LS–22 Lawn Seeder to service
after extended storage, carefully inspect the entire
machine for loose hardware and components. Tighten
and adjust as required. Inspect for any damage that
may have occurred during storage. Perform a complete
lubrication and adjustment procedure to the LS–22 and
the engine. Fill engine fuel tank 3/4 full with the proper
grade of fresh fuel.
