Why is my TURFCO LS-22 vibrating excessively?

  Excessive vibration or noise in your TURFCO Lawn and Garden Equipment can stem from several causes. It might be due to loose components—ensure all fasteners are tightened. Other potential causes include the blade depth being wrong for soil/sod conditions, worn blade assembly bearings, a worn clutch idler bearing, dull or loose blades, bent or broken blades, a buildup of dirt, debris, or grass roots on the blade assembly, the engine speed being wrong for soil conditions, or a slipping V–belt at the clutch.

  If your TURFCO Lawn and Garden Equipment is showing poor seed application, it could be due to blocked seed gate openings from dirt or debris. Try cleaning the openings. Also, check the seed gate dial setting, as it may be set incorrectly for the seed type or size. Inspect the rotor in the seed hopper for any bends or damage that may be preventing proper seed distribution. Other reasons might be wet seed or moisture in the seed hopper gate openings, or worn or damaged bearings in the hopper.

  If your TURFCO Lawn and Garden Equipment requires excessive force to push or the engine stalls, several factors could be responsible. Low tire pressure can cause the blade assembly to cut too deep. Also, check if you're cutting too deep for the soil conditions. Other potential issues include a bent, damaged rotor in the seed hopper rubbing on the inside of the hopper, worn, jammed, or damaged bearings on the hopper rotor shaft (front axle), operating on too steep of a slope, or the engine's “Oil Alert” sensor shutting the engine down.
