  If the Twin-Star International Indoor Fireplace remote control isn't working, first, try changing the remote batteries. If that doesn't work, ensure you operate the remote at a distance less than 20 feet from the front of the appliance, pointing it at the control panel. Also, operate the remote transmitter at a slow, measured pace, pressing the buttons with an even motion and gentle pressure, as repeatedly pressing buttons rapidly may cause it to malfunction.

  If the power cord of your Twin-Star International Indoor Fireplace gets warm, check your heater cord and plug connections. Ensure the plug fits tightly in the outlet, as faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause overheating. Frequently check if your plug outlet or faceplate is HOT during use. If so, discontinue use and have a qualified electrician check and/or replace the faulty outlet(s).

  If the flame effect of your Twin-Star International Indoor Fireplace operates, but the heater doesn't blow warm air, try turning the HEATER button ON and OFF several times to ensure it is in the ON position. Also, make sure that the TEMPERATURE knob is set to the maximum setting.

  If the Twin-Star International Indoor Fireplace heater shuts off and won't come back on, turn the power 'OFF' and unplug the unit from the wall outlet for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, plug it back in and operate as normal. If the problem persists contact customer service.

  If the flame effect works, but the heater function does not, and the ember bed flashes when the heater button is pressed on your Twin-Star International Indoor Fireplace, the heater is disabled. To re-enable it, with the power on, press and hold the heater button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled, the ember bed lights will flash multiple times.
