Battery: RENATA type CR2450N mercury-free button-cell battery for
approx. 500 measurements, battery to be replaced only by
UEBE Medical GmbH. The unit may only be repaired by the
manufacturer or by an expressly authorised organisation. Do
not open the unit, as this will invalidate the warranty.
Service: Should your unit show evidence of a fault, we ask you not to
attempt repairs yourself, but instead to send the unit with a
short description of the fault directly to UEBE Medical GmbH
for inspection.
Calibration: The unit does not have to be calibrated; the metrological accu-
racy of the unit will be automatically checked when the battery
is replaced by UEBE Medical GmbH.
Protection class IP: IP 20: Protected against solid foreign particles with a diameter
of more than 12.5 mm, no protection against water.
Additional equipment connected to medical electrical equipment must comply with
the respective IEC or ISO standards (e.g. IEC 60950 for data-processing equipment).
Furthermore, all congurations shall comply with the normative requirements for medical
systems (see IEC 60601-1-1 or Section 16 of the 3rd edition of IEC 60601-1, respec-
tively). Anybody connecting additional equipment to medical electrical equipment is a
system congurer and is therefore responsible for ensuring that the system complies with
the normative requirements for systems. Attention is drawn to the fact that local laws
take priority over the above-mentioned normative requirements. If in doubt, consult your
local specialised dealer or the Technical Service department.
If you are returning a unit from a non-EU country, please observe your
national customs regulations.
