Die Kupplungen arbeiten lageunabhangig.
Kupplungsoberteil (D} und Kupplungsunter-
teil (E) sind mittels der Kronenfeder (F) auf
ein Mitnahmemoment von. ca. 1200 cm p bzw.
12 cm N eingestellt. Die Druckfeder (L) be-
wirkt eine Grundbremsung der Kupplungen
(ca. 80p bzw. 0,8N) und ermdglicht einen
Betrieb des Laufwerkes in vertikaler und
horizontaler Lage.
3.2 Priifung der Kupplungen
(siehe Abb. 4)
Gerat ausschalten und in Stellung ,Stop”
bringen. GemaB Abb. 4 eine mit ca. 50 cm
Band bewickelte 18-cm-Bandspule (Kern-
durchmesser 60 mm) auf die Abwickel- bzw.
Aufwickelkupplung legen. In das freie Band-
ende Federwaage einhangen und abziehen.
Sollwert: 400 p + 50 p bzw.4N+0,5N.
Wird der Sollwert nicht erreicht, so ist zu
prifen, ob die betreffende Bremse gemab
Abs. 4.1 justiert ist. Die Einstellung des Mit-
nahmemomentes der Kupplung auf den Soll-
wert erfolgt durch Drehen der Mutter (H) und
anschlieBendes Fixieren mittels der Konter-
mutter (1) (s. hierzu Abb. 3). Die Kupplungs-
bremsteller arbeiten wartungsfrei. Sie be-
dirfen keiner Prifung oder Justierung. Es
sind lediglich die Bremsen gemaf Abs. 4.2 zu
prifen,
The clutches operate in any position. The
upper clutch section (D) and the lower clutch
section (E) are set for a driving moment of
1200 cmp or 12 cmN. The pressure spring
(L) provides a basic braking effect for the
clutches (approx. 80 p or 0.8N) and permits
the drive system to be operated both verti-
cally and horizontally.

3.2 Checking the Clutches
(see Fig. 4)
Switch off the tape recorder and set to
position “Stop”. In accordance with Fig. 4
place a 7 in. reel, wound with approx. 20 in.
of tape (core diameter 2.36") on the take-up
and unwinding clutch respectively. Hook a
spring balance into the free end of the tape
and make a reading.
Nominal value: 400 p + 50 p or 4N + 0.5N.
If the nominal value is not reached, check
whether the respective brake has been ad-
justed as described under para 4.1.
The driving moment is adjusted for the clutch
by turning the nut (H) until the nominal value
is obtained and then locked with the aid of
the flock nut (1) — (see Fig. 3). The clutch
brake discs operate without the need for
maintenance. They do not require to be
checked or adjusted. Merely the brakes must
be checked in accordance with para 4.2.

Les embrayages travaillent dans une position
quelconque, aussi bien horizontale que verti-
cale. Leur plateau supérieur (D) et leur
plateau inférieur (E) sont ajustés a l'aide du
ressort crénelé (F) sur un moment d’en-
trainement de 1200 cm p ou 12 cm N. Le
ressort de pression (L) produit un freinage
fondamental env. 80 p ou 0,8 N sur les
embrayages et permet ainsi le fonctionne-
ment du mécanisme d’entrainement en posi-
tion horizontale et verticale.
3.2 Contréle des embrayages
(voir fig. 4)
Déconnecter le magnétophone et mettre
le sélecteur de fonctions dans sa position
«Stop». Conformément a la figure 4, monter
une bobine de 18 cm de diamstre sur la-
quelle une longueur de bande de 50 cm
environ est enroulée (diamétre di noyau de
la bobine 60 mm). Accrocher un rese-ressort
a l'extrémitée libre de la bande e t” étirer.
Valeur nominale: 400p + 50p ou4IN+0,5N.
Procéder au contrdle décrit ci-dassus pour
les deux embrayages.
Si la valeur nominale n'est pas ate inte, véri-
fier l’'ajustage du frein respectit (woir sous
4.1). Pour l’obtenir, modifier le serrage de
['écrou (H), puis fixer la posiion de ce
dernier a l'aide du contre-écry (1) (voir
fig. 3).
Les disques de freinage ne requsierent ni
entretien, ni contrdéle, ni ajustag: Une véri-
fication des freins suffit (voir saig 4.2).
