Why is my Ulvac Water Pump overheating?

  If your Ulvac Water Pump is experiencing abnormal heating, several factors could be the cause. Continuous operation under high suction pressure can cause the pump surface temperature to rise. Ensure the oil is supplied at the specified volume. If the oil is dirty, replace it and clean the pump's interior. If the suction gas is hot, install a cooling device on the suction side. Ensure the area around the pump is well-ventilated. For high ambient temperatures, use the pump in an air-conditioned environment. Check for leaks in the pipe connections and repair them. If the oil is not circulating due to a clogged oil pit, clean the oil pit.

  If the motor current value of your Ulvac Water Pump is abnormal, several factors could be the cause. If foreign substances have entered the pump, impairing motor rotation, conduct an overhaul to remove them. Check for leaks in the pipe connections and repair them. If there is abnormal sliding of the rotor or vane, conduct an overhaul. If you are keeping continuous operation under high suction pressure, adjust the pressure.

Why is there so much oil mist coming from the exhaust outlet of my Ulvac Water Pump?

  If a lot of oil mist is blowing out of the exhaust outlet of your Ulvac Water Pump, several issues could be responsible. Check if the pump is filled over the specified oil volume and drain the oil if necessary. If you are keeping continuous operation under high suction pressure, install an oil mist trap on the exhaust side. If the oil mist trap is clogged, replace it. If the exhaust valve vane is broken, replace it.

  If your Ulvac Water Pump is leaking oil to the outside, it could be due to a few reasons. The O-ring and/or oil seal of the case and cover might be deteriorated, requiring an overhaul. Alternatively, the oil inlet or drain port could be loose; try tightening them.

Why has the vacuum degree of my Ulvac Water Pump decreased after initial satisfactory performance?

  If your Ulvac Water Pump initially performed well, but the vacuum degree has decreased, it could be due to dirty oil caused by water, dust, solvent vapor, or other foreign substances entering the pump. Replace the oil and conduct an overhaul, including cleaning the inside of the pump. Consider installing a trap or filters in the front stage of the pump to prevent these contaminants from entering.
