Why is my Ulvac Water Pump overheating?
    • B
      brownjoannaAug 23, 2025
If your Ulvac Water Pump is experiencing abnormal heating, several factors could be the cause. Continuous operation under high suction pressure can cause the pump surface temperature to rise. Ensure the oil is supplied at the specified volume. If the oil is dirty, replace it and clean the pump's interior. If the suction gas is hot, install a cooling device on the suction side. Ensure the area around the pump is well-ventilated. For high ambient temperatures, use the pump in an air-conditioned environment. Check for leaks in the pipe connections and repair them. If the oil is not circulating due to a clogged oil pit, clean the oil pit.

What causes an abnormal motor current value in my Ulvac Water Pump?
    • E
      Emily BellAug 27, 2025
If the motor current value of your Ulvac Water Pump is abnormal, several factors could be the cause. If foreign substances have entered the pump, impairing motor rotation, conduct an overhaul to remove them. Check for leaks in the pipe connections and repair them. If there is abnormal sliding of the rotor or vane, conduct an overhaul. If you are keeping continuous operation under high suction pressure, adjust the pressure.

Why is there so much oil mist coming from the exhaust outlet of my Ulvac Water Pump?
    • M
      Mark GomezAug 30, 2025
If a lot of oil mist is blowing out of the exhaust outlet of your Ulvac Water Pump, several issues could be responsible. Check if the pump is filled over the specified oil volume and drain the oil if necessary. If you are keeping continuous operation under high suction pressure, install an oil mist trap on the exhaust side. If the oil mist trap is clogged, replace it. If the exhaust valve vane is broken, replace it.

How to fix oil leaks on my Ulvac Water Pump?
    • J
      Jonathan PowersSep 3, 2025
If your Ulvac Water Pump is leaking oil to the outside, it could be due to a few reasons. The O-ring and/or oil seal of the case and cover might be deteriorated, requiring an overhaul. Alternatively, the oil inlet or drain port could be loose; try tightening them.

Why has the vacuum degree of my Ulvac Water Pump decreased after initial satisfactory performance?
    • M
      masonwendySep 7, 2025
If your Ulvac Water Pump initially performed well, but the vacuum degree has decreased, it could be due to dirty oil caused by water, dust, solvent vapor, or other foreign substances entering the pump. Replace the oil and conduct an overhaul, including cleaning the inside of the pump. Consider installing a trap or filters in the front stage of the pump to prevent these contaminants from entering.

How to troubleshoot if my Ulvac Water Pump does not run?
    • J
      Jordan SinghNov 11, 2025
If the Ulvac Water Pump does not run, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the pump is properly connected to the power supply and that the power switch is turned on. Check that all three phases of the power supply are normal and that the safety circuits, such as the Magnetic Switch (MS) and Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB), are correctly set and not tripped; if tripped, identify and correct the cause before resetting. Inspect the motor connection and confirm it conforms to the motor specifications. If the oil viscosity has increased, change the oil. If foreign substances have entered the pump, or reactive agents have accumulated inside, conduct an overhaul, which includes cleaning and component replacement. For low temperatures, try turning the pump on and off in short interva...

Why is the pressure not declining and the pumping speed slow on my Ulvac Water Pump?
    • K
      Kristen DavisNov 15, 2025
If the pressure does not decline and the pumping speed is slow in your Ulvac Water Pump, consider these points: First, ensure that the pump's exhaust capacity matches the vacuum chamber capacity; if it's too small, select another pump type. Verify the pressure measurement method and ensure the vacuum gauge is appropriate for the measurement pressure range and correctly calibrated. Check the pipe connected to the suction inlet; if it's too thin or the connection distance is too long, use a wider pipe and shorten the distance to the vacuum chamber. Clean any clogs in the metal mesh at the inlet. Ensure the oil is supplied at the specified volume, controlling the oil level and conducting an overhaul if needed. If the oil is dirty due to water, dust, solvent vapor, or foreign substances, repla...

What to do if my Ulvac Water Pump is making unusual sounds?
    • M
      Miranda GibsonNov 19, 2025
If your Ulvac Water Pump is making unusual sounds, several factors could be responsible. Check if the motor rotation direction is reversed and correct the connection if necessary. Ensure the oil is supplied at the specified volume and conduct an overhaul if needed. If foreign matter has entered the pump, clean the pump to eliminate it. If the oil is not circulating due to a clogged oil pit or a problem with the oil distributor valve, clean the oil pit and check/repair the valve. If the vanes are not moving, conduct an overhaul and wash out any substances stuck to them. In case components inside the pump have burnt out, conduct an overhaul. Ensure the belt cover screw is not loose and tighten it if needed. Note that rattling sounds on starting or stopping the machine are typically normal du...
