Why won't my Uniflame GAD1399SP Outdoor Fireplace burner light with the ignitor?
    • L
      Laurie ParkerAug 20, 2025
There are several reasons why the burner on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace might not light with the ignitor. It could be due to a closed LP gas tank valve. Ensure the regulator is securely attached to the LP gas tank and the valve is open. Other potential causes include a low or empty LP gas tank (exchange, refill, or replace the tank), an LP gas leak (turn the gas tank valve to the closed position, wait 5 minutes, and check for leaks), a dead battery (replace the AA battery), wet electrode and burners (wipe them dry), a cracked or broken electrode (replace the electrode), a loose or disconnected wire (reconnect the ignitor wire/electrode assembly), a shorting wire (replace the ignitor wire/electrode assembly), or a bad ignitor (replace the ignitor).

What to do if my Uniflame GAD1399SP has a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height?
    • K
      Kayla MorganAug 22, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace can occur if the unit is out of gas. In this case, exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Alternatively, the excess flow safety device may have been activated. To resolve this: 1. Turn the control knob to the off position. 2. Wait 30 seconds, then light the outdoor fireplace. 3. If the flames are still too low, reset the overfilling prevention device: * Turn control knob(s) off. * Turn LP gas tank valve to closed. * Disconnect regulator. * Turn control knobs to high. * Wait one minute. * Turn control knobs to off. * Reconnect regulator and leak check connections, being careful not to fully open valve. * Light outdoor fireplace.

Why won't my Uniflame GAD1399SP Outdoor Fireplace burner light with a match?
    • D
      donnamartinezAug 25, 2025
If the burner on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace won't light with a match, it could be due to several reasons. There might be no gas flow, meaning the LP gas tank is empty (exchange, refill, or replace it). It could also be due to an LP gas leak (turn the gas tank valve to the closed position, wait 5 minutes, and check for leaks). Alternatively, the coupling nut and regulator might not be fully connected (tighten the coupling nut by hand until snug). Other causes include obstruction of gas flow (clear burner/venturi tube and check for bent or kinked hose), disengagement of burner to valve (re-engage burner and valve), spider webs or insect nests in the burner/venturi tube (clean the burner/venturi tube), or clogged/blocked burner ports (clean burner ports).

What causes the flame to go out on my Uniflame GAD1399SP?
    • C
      Chloe ShahAug 27, 2025
The flame on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace might extinguish due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the fireplace in such conditions. Another cause could be low LP gas; in this case, exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. The excess flow valve tripped could also cause this issue; refer to the section on sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height for a solution.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace?
    • S
      Samantha RamosAug 28, 2025
The flame on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace might appear yellow or orange for a few reasons. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; burn the fireplace for 15 minutes and reinspect. Spider webs or insect nests in the burner/venturi tube can also cause this; clean the burner/venturi tube. Poor alignment of the valve to the burner/venturi tube is another possibility; ensure the burner/venturi tube is properly engaged with the valve.

    • M
      Michael GeorgeAug 31, 2025

Why does the flame seem to lose heat when burning in cold weather on my Uniflame GAD1399SP Outdoor Fireplace?
    • S
      sarah08Sep 2, 2025
If the flame on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace seems to lose heat in cold weather (below 50ºF), ice may have built up on the outside of the LP gas tank because the vaporization process is too slow. To fix this: 1. Turn LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”. 2. Turn control knob to “OFF”. 3. Replace with a spare LP gas tank. 4. Reconnect LP gas tank. 5. Check for leaks. 6. Light outdoor fireplace.

What causes flame blow out in Uniflame GAD1399SP Outdoor Fireplace?
    • R
      Robert GutierrezSep 10, 2025
If the flame keeps blowing out on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace, high or gusting winds might be the cause; avoid using the fireplace in such conditions. Another reason could be low LP gas, so try replacing or refilling the LP gas tank. Lastly, the excess flow valve might have tripped; refer to the section on “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height” for troubleshooting steps.

      Lindsay MirandaSep 12, 2025
If the flame on your Uniflame Outdoor Fireplace is yellow or orange, it could be due to a few reasons. If it's a new burner, it might have residual manufacturing oils; burn the fireplace for 15 minutes and then check the flame again.
