How to fix Uniflame GBC920W1 burner that won't light with ignitor?
    • C
      Christopher HarrisAug 16, 2025
If the Uniflame Grill burner won't light with the ignitor, several issues could be the cause. First, try replacing the AA battery. If that doesn't work, the wires or electrode might be covered in cooking residue, so clean them with rubbing alcohol. Also, ensure the electrode and burners are dry. Other potential problems include a cracked electrode (replace it), a loose or disconnected wire (reconnect or replace the electrode/wire assembly), a shorting wire (replace the ignitor wire/electrode assembly), or a bad ignitor (replace it).

What to do if Uniflame GBC920W1 Grill burner won't light with match?
    • M
      Mary WilliamsAug 22, 2025
If your Uniflame Grill burner won't light with a match, there could be several reasons. First, check if the LP gas tank is empty and replace or refill if necessary. Also, ensure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by hand-tightening them. Obstructions in gas flow can also be a problem, so clear burner tubes and check for bent or kinked hoses. Ensure the burner is properly engaged with the valve. Finally, clean the venturi for spider webs or insect nests and clean the burner ports if they are clogged or blocked.

Why is the flame height low on my Uniflame GBC920W1 Grill?
    • C
      clarkvalerieAug 26, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your Uniflame Grill may be due to an empty LP gas tank; replace or refill it. It's also possible that the excess flow safety device has been activated. To reset it, turn the control knobs to “OFF”, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If flames are still too low, turn control knobs “OFF” and close the LP gas tank valve. Disconnect the regulator, turn control knobs to “HIGH”, wait 1 minute, then turn control knobs to “OFF”. Reconnect the regulator, leak check connections, slowly open the LP gas tank valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill per lighting instructions.

Why does the Uniflame GBC920W1 flame keep blowing out?
    • M
      Mike AndersonAug 28, 2025
Flame blowouts in your Uniflame Grill can occur due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the grill in such conditions. Also, check if the LP gas is low and replace or refill the tank if needed. If the excess flow valve has tripped, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”.

Why is the flame on my Uniflame GBC920W1 Grill yellow?
    • G
      Gregory WareAug 31, 2025
A yellow or orange flame in your Uniflame Grill could be due to several factors. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; burn the grill for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Also, check for spider webs or insect nests in the venturi and clean if necessary. Food residue, grease, or seasoning salt on the burner can also cause this, so clean the burner. Finally, ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the valve.

Why does my Uniflame GBC920W1 Grill flare up?
    • P
      Phillip JohnsonSep 12, 2025
Flare-ups in your Uniflame Grill are often due to grease buildup, so cleaning the grill is advisable. Excess fat in the meat can also be a culprit, so trim the fat before grilling. Finally, ensure the cooking temperature is not excessively high; adjust it accordingly.

Why is the inside of my Uniflame GBC920W1 lid peeling?
    • K
      Kimberly MartinezSep 12, 2025
If the inside of your Uniflame Grill lid is peeling, it's likely that baked-on grease buildup has turned to carbon and is flaking off, as the lid is stainless steel, not painted. Clean the lid thoroughly.
