Inserting/replacing the Ex battery pack
1. Remove the sealing cover and, if present, the old Ex
battery pack.
Your phonebook entries and all settings remain stored
even if you remove the Ex battery pack. The date and
time settings will be reset.
2. Insert the Ex battery pack (at an angle, tab first and the
contacts facing down). Then press it down into the com-
partment until the Ex battery pack's positioning clip
firmly snaps into place.
Inserting the sealing cover
1. Remove the sealing ring if present.
2. Insert the sealing cover (1) with the labelled side facing
up and press firmly into place on all sides, making sure it
fits correctly. The protrusions on the side (2) of the seal-
ing cover must fit precisely into the designated notches
on the side.
The protrusions should be visible externally when the
cover is attached and are used for checking that the
sealing is in place and fitted correctly.
