To charge the Ex battery pack, place the handset in the
charging unit with the keypad facing forwards.
The battery is supplied partially charged. Charge the bat-
tery before using it for the first time until the charging light
extinguishes (<3h). Full battery capacity is only reached
following a number of charging cycles.
Depending on the technology, the battery capacity dimin-
ishes after several charging cycles.
When the battery is fully discharged (battery low warning
tone), the charge status indicator adapts to the actual bat-
tery capacity.
For future charging you can replace your handset in the
charging unit each time it has been used. Charging is
electronically controlled which ensures that the Ex battery
pack is charged optimally.
The Ex battery pack should be replaced by appropriately
trained service personnel:
Due to ageing: the capacity of the Ex battery pack can
diminish to the extent that it is no longer sufficient
(increasingly faster discharge) for the intended operat-
ing life.
If there is a noticeable change in the battery (appears
thickened, damaged by a fall, etc.)
If used in other devices or unsuitable chargers.
The charging status is indicated by the charge status indica-
tor. This flashes while charging:
