Why is my Vaillant VC 156/5-7 not starting and showing fault code F.36 or F.37?

If your Vaillant Water Heater isn't starting, you're not getting any hot water, the heating remains cold, and the display shows symbols with a continuously lit red LED alongside fault code F.36 or F.37, this indicates a fault in the flue gas route. Have your competent person rectify the fault.
