• Referring to diagrams above, remove all parts and accessories according to the number
sequences shown. The thermostatic cartridge must be removed using a tool such as pliers
(shown #8).
• Cleaning:
a. Pour approx. 1 cup of commercial scale remover. (ex. Lime AwayTM or CLR TM into a basin)
b. Dilute the scale remover with water as instructed on the scale remover instructions.
c. Soak the thermostatic cartridge in the solution for 2-5 minutes or as recommended on the scale
remover instructions. At the same time, use a soft brush to clean the cartridge head.

d. Thoroughly rinse off any solution from the thermostatic cartridge using warm water.

• After cleaning, all parts and accessories need to be re-assembled using the reverse sequence
used during disassembly and removal. After reassembly and reinstallation,
test the system and adjust temperature if needed.
