The NRG Tank, which comes with the Switcher, features innovative GT Cores. The tank's "Slide-n-Fill" design simplifies e-liquid refills, requiring only a counter-clockwise slide of the top lid to access the filling opening.
Operating the Switcher is intuitive. To turn the device on or off, the fire button must be pressed five times in quick succession within two seconds. Vaping is initiated by holding the fire button and inhaling through the mouthpiece, then releasing the button and exhaling.
The 0.96" OLED display provides essential information such as voltage, resistance, battery level, temperature, and output wattage. After 10 seconds of inactivity, the display transitions to a Real Time Clock, which then shuts off after 15 minutes to conserve battery. Pressing any of the adjustment buttons (plus, minus, or mode) will re-illuminate the screen. The OMNI Board 2.6 introduces new dynamic icons that appear when the adjustment buttons or the lock/unlock and system On/Off buttons are pressed.
The device features automatic atomizer recognition, which reads the coil's resistance upon connection and identifies the coil type. If a Kanthal coil is detected, the mod automatically switches from Temperature Control (TC) to wattage mode.
For convenience, the adjustment buttons can be locked or unlocked by pressing the fire button three times. The display mode can be switched by pressing the mode button for three seconds or by quickly pressing it three times to access the vaping modes selected menu and system setting menu.
The Switcher incorporates a "Quick Charge System" with a maximum charging current of 2.5A, making it one of the fastest USB charging systems in the industry. It also features an equalizing charge system. When charging, the OLED display shows the current battery level (0%, 20%, 50%, 80%, and 100%) and the remaining charging time, updated every 10 minutes. The display remains lit during charging.
The "Change Lighting Pattern" feature, exclusive to the Switcher LE version, allows users to customize the LED lighting. Within the "SYSTEM SET" menu, selecting the "LIGHT" submenu reveals nine different light display modes, with options to set a customized LED lighting pattern.
The Switcher's "Totally Replaceable Design" extends to its maintenance, particularly the ability to replace the case, which is illustrated with a five-step process in the manual. This modularity not only offers customization but also potentially simplifies the replacement of damaged external components.
Firmware updates and customization are supported through a simple software available for download from the Vaporesso website. This software is compatible with Windows and macOS systems and includes a "help" section for urgent questions. Battery maintenance is crucial for safety and longevity. Users are advised to use correct charging equipment and good quality batteries from reputable suppliers. Batteries should be placed on a hard surface during charging, and the device should be turned off when not in use. Dry cloth should be used to clean the battery and its terminals. It is important to avoid using batteries with torn casings, leaving charging batteries unattended, or exposing them to extreme heat, cold, or direct sunlight. The device and batteries should also be kept away from water or any liquids.
The manual also outlines several protection functions integrated into the device, including USB input protection, equalizing charge system, low voltage protection, output short circuit protection, low resistance protection, over-temperature protection, overcurrent protection, anti-loaded battery protection, and small power atomizer protection. These features are designed to ensure safe and reliable operation of the device.
