Function Description

The Vax Steam Grime Master is a handheld steam cleaner intended for various cleaning tasks around the home. It uses steam to clean surfaces, removing dirt, grime, and soap scum without the need for chemical additives. The device features a variable steam dial to adjust steam pressure, allowing for tailored cleaning depending on the surface and task.

Usage Features

The steam cleaner is designed for ease of use with several features:

  • Water Tank (1): The main reservoir for water.
  • Nozzle (2): The primary steam outlet.
  • Variable Steam Dial (3): Allows adjustment of steam pressure.
  • Water Tank Lid (4): Securely seals the water tank.
  • Steam Trigger (5): Activates steam release.
  • Steam Trigger Safety Latch (6): Prevents accidental steam release.
  • Carry Handle (7): For easy portability of the unit.
  • LED Indicator (8):
    • a) Water heating/power on (red LED): Illuminates when the unit is heating water or powered on.
    • b) Steam ready (red LED + green LED): Both LEDs illuminate when the steamer is ready for use (approximately 2 minutes after power on).

Operating Instructions:

  1. Filling the Water Tank:
    • Ensure the unit is cool and unplugged.
    • Push down and twist the water tank lid anti-clockwise to remove.
    • Fill the measuring jug with 260ml of water (do not overfill).
    • Slowly pour water into the water tank.
    • Securely fasten the lid by pushing down and twisting clockwise.
  2. Heating Up:
    • Ensure the safety latch is on (locked position) while the unit is heating.
    • Plug in the unit. The red LED will illuminate, indicating water is heating and the unit is on.
    • After approximately 2 minutes, the green LED will also illuminate, indicating the steamer is ready to use.
  3. Releasing Steam:
    • Release the safety latch to unlock the steam trigger.
    • Press the steam trigger to release steam.
    • Rotate the variable power dial to adjust steam pressure as needed.

Accessories and Their Use:

  • Concentration Nozzle (10): Used for removing soap scum in baths and shower enclosures, and cleaning heavily soiled kitchen areas. It must be attached before fitting other small tools. To attach, push onto the unit, aligning arrows, then twist clockwise.
  • Small Brush (9): Ideal for cleaning various surfaces like tiles, sinks, toilets, and oven tops. Attaches to the concentration nozzle.
  • Upholstery/Clothes Tool (11): Used for steaming upholstery and clothes.
  • Squeegee Tool (12): Great for cleaning windows, tiles, and mirrors. Can be unclipped from the upholstery/clothes tool.
  • Upholstery/Clothes Cloth (13): Two cloths are included; attach them to the upholstery/clothes tool for efficient steaming.
  • Measuring Jug (14): For accurately measuring water to fill the tank.
