How to troubleshoot Vetus BOW PRO when the electric motor does not operate?
    • N
      Noah HernandezAug 3, 2025
If the electric motor of your Vetus Outboard Motor does not operate, there are several things you can check: * Ensure the battery main switch is in the ‘ON’ position. * Verify the battery voltage is correct (10.5 - 14.4 V for a 12 V bow thruster, 21.0 - 28.8 V for a 24 V bow thruster, or 42.0 - 57.6 V for a 48 V bow thruster). * Inspect the control current fuse and the CAN bus power supply fuse to see if they have blown. * Check the main supply fuses. * Confirm that the propeller can turn freely. If an overload has occurred, wait for the controller to cool down until the LED turns green, then the bow thruster can be used again.

If the electric motor of your Vetus Outboard Motor rotates but produces no thrust, it could be due to: * Damage to the propeller blades caused by a foreign object. Replace the drive pin and inspect the propeller hub for damage. * A broken drive pin on the propeller shaft, also likely due to a foreign object. Replace the drive pin and check the propeller hub for damage.
