OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Preparation prior to metal detection
Before beginning an outside search, test the detector with the following metal
samples:
•An iron nail
•A five-cent coin ( nickel )
•A one-cent penny ( zinc coin, after 1982 )
•A 25-cent silver quarter
