Overview

This document describes the VEVOR YF6475 Air Compressor, a twin-cylinder, oil-free, 12V air compressor designed for mobile and portable operation, particularly suited for off-road travelers needing quick and portable tire inflation. It features an integrated air tank for storing high volumes of compressed air, making it suitable for various applications.

Function Description

The VEVOR YF6475 Air Compressor operates by connecting its heavy-duty power leads to a vehicle's 12V battery (red to positive, black to negative). Once connected and the power switch is turned "on," the compressor will cycle to pressurize its inbuilt receiver tank. An electric pressure switch housed within the air tank controls the compressor's operation via a heavy-duty relay. The compressor will turn off when the pressure reaches 150 PSI and turn back on when the pressure falls to 120 PSI. A pressure relief valve is also integrated into the tank, set to relieve pressure at 180 PSI if necessary. An air regulator valve at the tank's outlet allows users to set the desired air pressure supplied to the inflator nozzle. The tank also includes a drain tap for removing condensed water. The compressor is designed for convenience, automatically starting and stopping based on demand once air lines are connected or disconnected.

Usage Features

  • Portability: Designed for mobile, portable operation, it does not require permanent installation and can be used directly from its supplied box (though the box should be open during operation to ensure airflow and prevent overheating).
  • Ease of Operation: Simple to use; connect to a power source, flick the switch, and adjust the pressure regulator as needed. The compressor automatically manages pressure within the tank.
  • Vehicle Integration: Recommended to operate with the vehicle's engine running to maximize performance and prevent draining the vehicle's battery.
  • Pressure Regulation: Includes an air regulator valve to set the desired output pressure for various inflation needs.
  • Safety Features: Equipped with a pressure switch for automatic shut-off and restart, and a pressure relief valve for over-pressure protection.

Maintenance Features

  • Daily Checks: Visually inspect the air filter on the inlet. Replacement intervals depend on usage and environment, with a suggested interval of 50 hours.
  • Moisture Drainage: The air receiver tank accumulates moisture. It is recommended to drain water regularly using the provided drain tap.
  • Long-term Service:
    • The main piston seal is designed for a 1,000-hour service interval. It is recommended to replace all soft seals at the same time.
    • Electric motor brushes should also be replaced at 1,000 hours of operation to ensure reliable performance.

Warnings and Safety Information

  • The compressor's cylinder head temperatures can exceed 100°C during operation, posing a burn risk. Avoid skin contact and never leave children unsupervised around the compressor.
  • The compressor is heavy; consider proper storage and handling to prevent it from becoming a projectile in a crash.
  • Adhere to the duty cycle (30% at 100 PSI) to prevent overheating and ensure longevity. Operating at higher discharge pressures will reduce the duty cycle.
  • Do not operate the unit with the box closed, as this restricts airflow and can lead to overheating.

Disposal and Warranty

  • Disposal: Do not dispose of electric tools with household waste. In accordance with European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment, tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
  • Warranty: The VEVOR AIR compressor is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a 12-month period from the date of purchase. Faulty goods will be repaired or replaced at Vevor's discretion.

The product complies with applicable European directives and is marked with the CE symbol. It also carries the WEEE symbol, indicating that it should not be disposed of with household waste and should be recycled.
