WEEKLY CLEANING / DISINFECTING
(See appendix E on page 3)
Disconnect from the mains before cleaning (1).
Remove the tank cap and empty the residual water before
cleaning (2).
If accessories are installed, remove accessories and set
aside (3). DO NOT clean accessories. This will damage the
accessories.
Thoroughly clean humidifier every week using a solution of
bleach and water (5ml of bleach in 1.8 liters of water). Fill the
water tank partially with this solution (4).
Let stand twenty (20) minutes, shaking vigorously every few
minutes. Drain and rinse with clean water until the bleach
smell is gone (5).
Wipe the reservoir with a soft cloth dampened in the solution.
Rinse area thoroughly before proceeding (6).
If mineral deposits are evident around the Nebulizer, clean
the surface with a soft, clean cloth and a small amount of
undiluted white vinegar. If necessary for removal of mineral
deposits, mix a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water
and fill the Base with enough solution to cover the Nebulizer.
Rinse out the reservoir and wipe clean.
Do not touch Nebulizer or the Water Sensor with bare fingers
as any fingerprints or residue can reduce mist output. Do not
immerse the Base in water.
We recommend to use the Protec cleaning fish TWT001EU to
prevent growth of bacteria in the water tank and keep your
humidifier clean.
