Why is there white dust accumulating from my Vicks Humidifier?
    • J
      Julia BerryAug 1, 2025
The white dust accumulation is likely due to using hard water in your Vicks Humidifier. Try using distilled water or a Demineralization Cartridge. It may also be caused by the Demineralization Cartridge needing replacement; in this case, replace the Demineralization Cartridge (Model PDC-51).

What to do if my Vicks Humidifier produces little or no mist?

      Patricia YoungOct 26, 2025
If your Vicks Humidifier isn't producing enough mist, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the water tank is filled. Next, make sure the unit is placed on a level surface. Mineral deposits on the Nebulizer or Water Sensor can also cause this issue, so clean them according to the instructions. If you've washed the water tank with detergent, rinse it thoroughly with clean water and wipe it dry. Also, ensure there's enough water in the base to immerse the Water Sensor and that the blower is operating. If you're using a Demineralization Cartridge, it might be clogged; remove it and restart the machine. If the mist returns, replace the cartridge with a new one (Model PDC-51).
