What to do if my Vicks Humidifier produces little or no mist?

  If your Vicks Humidifier isn't producing enough mist, there could be several reasons: * The water tank may be empty; refill it. * The unit might not be on a level surface; place it on a level surface. * Mineral deposits could be on the Nebulizer or Water Sensor; clean these according to the instructions. * The water tank may have been washed with detergent; rinse it thoroughly with clean water and wipe it dry. * The Demineralization Cartridge may be clogged; remove the cartridge and restart the machine. If mist resumes, replace it with a new Cartridge (Model DC-51). * If using a new Demineralization Cartridge, allow at least 15 minutes for the water to saturate it.

  Condensation around your Vicks Humidifier or windows typically occurs when the mist intensity is set too high for the room size or the existing humidity level. Decrease the mist output using the Mist Intensity Control.

Why is there white dust accumulating from my Vicks Humidifier?

  White dust accumulation is often due to using hard water in the humidifier. Try using distilled water or a new Demineralization Cartridge. Also, the Demineralization Cartridge may need replacement; consider replacing it with a new one (Model DC-51).

  If the power knob is on but the power light is off, first, ensure the unit is properly plugged in. If it is, check the outlet to make sure it has power by testing circuits, fuses, or trying a different outlet.

  If you cannot smell the Vicks Soothing Vapors, it might be because the scent pad has been in your humidifier for over 8 hours. Replace the scent pad with a fresh one.
