Adjusting Mower Cutting Height
The mower lift lever (A, Figure 7) is used to lower the
deck to cutting position or raise the deck to transport posi-
tion.
To lower the deck, pull back slightly on the mower lift
lever, push it to the left and slide it down. To raise the
deck to transport pull up on the mower lift lever and lock
in notch to the right. Do not cut in transport.
The cutting height adjustment knob (B) controls the
mower cutting height. The cutting height is innitely ad-
justable between approximately 1.0” and 4.0” (2,5 and
10,2 cm). Turn the knob clockwise to raise the deck and
counterclockwise to lower it.

Attaching a Trailer
The maximum horizontal drawbar force allowed is 280
Newton. The maximum vertical drawbar force is 160
Newton. This equates to a 250 lbs (113 kg) trailer on a 10
degree hill. Secure the trailer with an appropriately sized
clevis pin (A, Figure 8) and clip (B).

1. Move the throttle control to the SLOW position. Turn the
key switch to the OFF position. Remove the key
and keep in a safe place out of the reach of children.
2. After the engine stops, turn the fuel shut-o valve, if
equipped, to the closed position.
Stopping the Tractor and Engine
WARNING
Fuel and its vapors are extremely ammable and
explosive.
Fire or explosion can cause severe burns or
death.
Do not choke the carburetor to stop the engine.
