What to do if Victaulic VE26 will not track on the pipe?
    • R
      Ruben CortezAug 21, 2025
If your Victaulic Tools won't track, causing it to walk or fall off the pipe, first ensure the tool is correctly positioned with the pipe against the two pipe-end stops. Another possible cause is that the pipe end is not cut square, so ensure to cut the pipe square. Also, remove any excessive fall-off (burr) at the pipe end that might result from using a tubing cutter. Lastly, make sure you are using the correct feed rate.

Why Victaulic VE26 Tools do not move when cranked?
    • S
      Sarah WilsonAug 25, 2025
If the Victaulic Tools do not move when cranked, it could be due to rust or dirt build-up on the roll set. Remove any rust or dirt accumulation from the roll set using a stiff wire brush. Alternatively, the roll set may be worn. Inspect the roll set for worn knurls and replace it if excessive wear is present.

Why Victaulic VE26 Tools wobble during cranking?
    • U
      usmithAug 28, 2025
If the Victaulic Tools wobble during cranking, it may be due to a variation in pipe wall thickness or an inadequate feed rate. Advance the feed at the rate specified in the “Grooving Operation” section.

Why pipe will not stay in grooving rolls of Victaulic VE26?
    • R
      Renee JacobsonSep 6, 2025
If the pipe will not stay in the grooving rolls of your Victaulic Tools, it could be due to incorrect pipe positioning of long pipe length. Also, the roll set and pipe might not be rotating clockwise; flip the switch on the power drive to the opposite rotation position.

Why are there loud squeaks while grooving pipe with Victaulic VE26?
    • M
      Mrs. Zoe ZimmermanSep 9, 2025
If you hear loud squeaks echoing through the pipe while grooving with Victaulic Tools, it could be due to incorrect pipe support positioning on long pipe. Reposition the pipe support. The pipe might not be cut square, so ensure the pipe end is cut squarely. Also, the pipe might be rubbing excessively on the two pipe-end stops; remove the pipe from the tool and apply a light coating of grease to the two pipe-end stops, as needed.
