Why is my Victory BX42S not chipping clean?

      Sara SellersAug 5, 2025
If your Victory Chipper isn't chipping cleanly or the chip deflector is plugging, it could be due to dull flywheel knives or the chipper head turning too slowly. Try sharpening or replacing the knives. Also, check the PTO speed; it should be at 540 rpm.

If the flywheel of your Victory Chipper turns but the woodchip output is low, it might be because the flywheel chamber is clogged. Open and clean the flywheel chamber to resolve this.

If the flywheel stops but the tractor doesn't when using your Victory Chipper, it's likely that the PTO shaft shear bolt has broken. Replace the shear bolt in the PTO shaft and identify the cause of the breakage to prevent recurrence.
