Controlled mechanical ventilation
The ventilation unit controls the fan speed so that a
consistent air flow rate is achieved for each ventilation
level. This means that the pressure drop of the duct-
work and filters does not affect the air flow rate.

■
"Intensive mode" is limited to "Duration, intensive
mode 7D1B".
■
If "Intensive mode" was activated via a switch or
button (bathroom switch), the duration is limited to
"Duration, bathroom vent. 7D3B".
Switching on Intensive mode externally
"Intensive mode" can be started with an external
switch or button (bathroom switch). This bathroom
switch is connected to the ventilation unit. To activate
the bathroom switch function, set "Function, external
230 V input, ventilation 7D3A" to "1".
When the bathroom switch has been held down for 2
to 5 s, "Intensive mode" is switched on for "Duration,
bathroom vent. 7D3B".
Otherwise "Intensive mode" remains active for as
long as the bathroom switch is held down, up to a max.
of "Duration, bathroom vent. 7D3B".
Note
"Intensive mode" can be stopped at any time on the
ventilation unit.
Heat recovery and humidity control
In standard ventilation mode the outdoor air and
extract air flow through the heat exchanger. All heat
exchangers used operate according to the countercur-
rent principle. This principle allows much of the thermal
energy of the extract air to be transferred to the cool
outdoor air, without the two air flows mixing together.
If an enthalpy heat exchanger is installed in the ventila-
tion unit, a part of the humidity is also transferred to
the supply air stream in addition to the thermal energy.
This contributes to a healthy ambience.
The type of heat exchanger is set as follows:
Heat exchanger "Type of heat ex-
changer 7D2E"
Countercurrent heat exchanger "0"
Enthalpy heat exchanger "1"
During heat recovery and humidity control the bypass
is not active.
