for this system.
Flue gas/ventilation air system accessories for balanced flue operation (aluminium)
Vertical pitched and flat roof outl et, coaxial, system size Ø 60/100 mm
&
For installing the Vitopend in an attic (type C
32x
)
&
The roof outlet may only be used, where the ceiling of the occu-
pied room also forms part of the roof or only the roof structu re is
located above the cei ling (pi tched atti c).
&
When the balanced flue system is routed through roof spaces,
which are not used as accommodation, run the balanced flue
pipe through an additi onal metal pipe as protection against
mechanical damage (TRGI '86/96, point 5.6.1.2).
&
It may also be routed behind a jamb wall or a solid wall of an
attic built as accommodation, if the fire protection class of the
jamb wall corresponds to that of the ceiling (e.g. B30).
It was verified as part of the DIN DVGW type test, that nowhere
on Vitopend or the balanced flue system will surface tempera-
tures higher than 40 K above room temperature occur.
&
Minimum clearances to combustible materials inside the instal-
lation location or in connection with the roof outl et do not have
to be observed.
&
The vertical roof outlet has been tested and _-certified as a
concentric bal anced flue system as one technical unit with the
Vitopend.
&
Inside the installation room, install an inspection aperture for
checking and cleaning the flue pipe.
&
From a pipe length of 2.5 m upwards, install a condensate trap
on site and drain off any condensate.
&
Max. extended pipe length 3 m.
Deductions from the max. extended p ipe length on account
of co mponents:
Roof outlet 1 m
Balanced flue bend 45° 0.5 m
Balanced flue bend 87° 1.0 m
Example:
Requirement: 1 x roof outlet and 2 x 45° bends
Max. extended pipe length:
3m 1x1m 2×0.5m=1m
Vertical flat roof outlet
Integrate the flat roof collar into the roof skin according to the flat
roof guideli nes.
Push the roof outlet into the roof from above and position it on the
flat roof collar.
Note
Ceiling opening diameter: min. 115 mm
Secure the roof outlet with a clamp only after the i nstallation has
been completed.
Maintain a minimum clearance of 1.5 m when several vertical roof
outlets are installed side by side.
