2¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup margarine or butter
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 package (12 ounces) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
Makes 32 bars
Combine flour, soda and salt; set aside. Cream together
sugars, margarine, oil and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in
eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate
chips and nuts.
Spread mixture into 13x9x2 ungreased pan. Set oven for
turntable-off. Bake 18 to 22 minutes on LOW MIX or until
wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in
pan. Cut into 32 squares.
