Function LED Behavior Description
Surround Sound
EFFECT > Surnd > Use the Next/Previous buttons to enable/disable surround sound and
front or dual modes. When enabled (On), Dolby and DTS Surround content will produce full
5.1 sound. With stereo content, EQ Music will produce DTS Virtual:X enhanced sound and
EQ Movie will produce realistic 5.1 eect sound. When disabled (O), the surround speakers
will be disabled and the sound bar will only produce DTS Virtual sound eect.
Front - Use when placing surround speakers next to the sound bar. Refer to Proper
Placement - Front Surround Mode on page 13.
Dual - Both surround speakers will play the same left and right channel content as the
sound bar.
Note: With stereo content, if EQ mode is set to Direct and Surround is set to O, the sound
bar will output 2.1 audio without center or surround.

EFFECT > VRT:X > Use the Next/Previous buttons to enable/disable Virtual:X. When
enabled (On), all inputs will produce a virtual sound technology that simulates the eect of
having overhead sound. When disabled (O), all sources will playback without virtualization.

EFFECT > TruVol > Use the Next/Previous buttons to enable/disable TruVolume. When
enabled (On), TruVolume provides a consistent and comfortable volume level for a more
enjoyable listening experience.
Note: Default setting is O

Night Mode On
EFFECT > Night > Use the Next/Previous buttons to enable/disable Night Mode. When
enabled (On), the sound bar will lower bass frequency levels to provide a more quiet
environment (ideal for apartment living and homes with sleeping children).
Note: Night mode will set to O after a power cycle.

Dolby Audio is only available on the HDMI ARC and Digital Optical Audio In input. When
a Dolby Audio signal is detected, the Dolby Audio indicator LED will light up for 3 seconds
before fading away.
