Only the reducing agent (AdBlue

past. It can destroy the reducing agent.

4.38.1 General information
Characteristics
♦
The reducing agent (AdBlue
®
/DEF) is not a diesel additive and
must not be poured into the diesel fuel tank.
♦
The reducing agent (AdBlue
®
/DEF) is used for exhaust treat‐
ment to reduce nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of diesel
powered vehicles.
♦
The reducing agent (AdBlue
®
/DEF) reduces these nitrogen
oxides to water and nitrogen.
