ASSEMBLY 11
ASSEMBLY
DANGER! Risk of injury during operation! Improperly mounted parts can cause severe and even fatal
injuries when using the device! This device may only be used if all parts are mounted completely and tightly and no
part is damaged.
WARNING! Risk of injury! An improperly mounted saw chain causes uncontrolled cutting behavior of the
device. When assembling the chain, heed the prescribed running direction.
Note: When attaching the saw chain, note the
correct position of the guide groove on the guide
bar.
● Read this whole chapter before you assemble the parts.
● Assemble the parts carefully and completely.
● Use tools when their use is suggested.
1. Release the chain brake (move the front hand guard back and engage).
2. Unlock and undo the quick locking device, then remove the chain wheel guard.
3. Route the saw chain around the guide bar.
Verify the correct location inside the guiding
groove. Pay attention to the chains correct
direction of rotation: the direction in which the
arrow points on the chain must match the direction
marked on the guide bar.
4. Hold the saw chain in the correct position on the
bar and place the saw chain around the gear
(chain wheel) . Fit the bar flush against the
mounting surface so that the chain dowel spin
fits in the long slot of the bar. Note: If the guide
bar is broken, a replacement can be purchased
from a local vendor.
CAUTION! Risk of injury due to cuts! The teeth on this saw chain are very sharp. Protective gloves must be
worn for all work on the chain
