22-2 Oil filter
Oil Pressure Sensor, Check
If you suspect that the oil pressure sensor reads incor-
rectly, check the oil pressure with an external pres-
sure sensor.
The pressure sensor is located behind the control unit;
refer to Engine Placement.

9998493 Hose
9990263 Nipple
1 Check the oil pressure with an external pressure
gauge and compare values with the specification
in Technical Data page 40.
2 Remove the plug and attach 9990263 Nipple.
3 Install 9996398 Manometer.
4 Start the engine and check the oil pressure.
If the oil pressure measurement shows that the
pressure is below the minimum value as speci-
fied, continue troubleshooting by checking the oil
filters.
If the oil pressure measurement using an external
pressure sensor shows that the pressure is within
tolerance, but the engine's regular pressure sen-
sor does not, replace the pressure sensor.
5 Remove the hose and pressure gauge.
6 Install the plug with a new seal washer
