Circuit description
The temperature sensor is installed inside of the EMS
2 unit.
Fault tracing
FMI 0
Fault condition:
The temperature inside the engine control unit is too
high.
Possible reason:
• High surrounding temperature.
• Fault in sensor.
Suitable action:
1. Check if the surrounding temperature is high or if
the EMS 2 unit is exposed to heat radiation.
2. Change EMS 2 unit.
FMI 4 The voltage is less than the normal
value or is short circuited to lower
voltage.
Possible reason:
• Fault in sensor circuit.
Suitable action:
1. Change EMS 2 unit.
FMI 5 Abnormally low current or open
circuit
Possible reason:
• Fault in sensor circuit.
Suitable action:
1. Change EMS 2 unit.
