ABS Brake System ECU

The ABS ECU continuously monitors wheel speed and
helps to control braking in exterme situations. It also
helps prevent wheel spin in vehicles equipped with trac-
tion control systems (ATC or TCS).
The ABS ECU is connected to the J1939 control data
link and the J1587/1708 information data link.
Note: Early production model ABS ECUs may be con-
nected to the J1587/1708 and J1922 data link or have
no data link connection at all.
