OPERATION
Before connecting the appliance to a suitable mains outlet, grease the required upper and lower PLATES with a
little oil or butter using a brush or spray.
With the LID closed, connect the plug into rated voltage and the cooking surface begins
pre-heating. The red and green lamp will be illuminated at the same time.
Once the cooking surface has reached the preset temperature (usually it will take about 3~4 minutes), the
GREEN READY LIGHT will not be illuminated and this food is ready for cooking.
Carefully open the LID using an oven mit to avoid contact with the hot surfaces.
Pour your pre-prepared mixture into each of the cooking zones of the lower mould.
CAUTION! Take care not to overll the moulds as the mixture may overspill.
Carefully close the LID to begin cooking.
NOTE - If there is resistance closing the LID, DO NOT force. Leave to cool, clean up any mixture that has
overspilled and continue using less mixture.
NOTE - The POWER LIGHT may cycle on and o during the cooking process. This is completely normal as the
appliance is just maintaining its temperature.
TIP - Try to resist opening the LID to check on the progress of your food in the rst minute or two of cooking.
Lifting the LID too early could result in the mixture splitting or sticking.
Continue to cook until the desired browning level has been achieved. Usual cooking time is 5-6 minutes.
Once cooked, carefully lift the LID open.
CAUTION! Take extra care when opening the LID as steam may escape which may result in scalding injuries.
Ensure an oven mitt is worn to protect against hot surfaces.
Remove the food using a plastic or wooden spatula.
NOTE - Avoid using any metal utensils as these will damage the surfaces of the PLATES.
If you are intending to make batches, close the LID between to conserve heat.
Once nished, disconnect the Snack Maker from the mains and allow to completely cool before plate removal/
cleaning.
