A/B BANK SWITCHING
In addition to changing presets as described above in Selecting Presets, you can also toggle
between pairs of presets with a single button. This allows you to instantly jump between two
completely different sounds, something that you can’t do with a traditional pedalboard because
it would require multiple button hits.
When you hit the switch on Commander for the active preset, it will instantly move over to the
same position in the other bank. Hit the same switch again and you’re back to the original preset.
For example, if you have your favorite clean sound in preset #1, you can put a lead sound in
preset #6 and instantly A/B between them! You can do the same thing for 2/7, 3/8 and so on. By
setting up your sounds in Commander this way, you may never need to use the Bank Up/Down
button again.
CONTROLLING OTHER DEVICES VIA MIDI
While not designed as a dedicated MIDI foot controller, Commander will send program changes
to any external MIDI device. This is useful if you have a multi-effect unit that you want to change
along with your Pedal Switcher loops.
By connecting the MIDI OUT from a Pedal Switcher into an external effect device, Commander
will send out the program change as well as switching your Pedal Switcher loops. Commander
sends program changes 1-10, corresponding to the preset number, on MIDI channel 1.
