5 Operation
Uphill machine operation
Raise the boom 20 – 30 cm (8 – 12 in) off the ground and position it
straight ahead at the center of the machine.
Do not perform machine travel on slopes steeper than 15°.
Do not perform machine travel on slopes with a lateral angle of incli-
nation over 10°.
Downhill machine operation
Raise the boom 20 – 30 cm (8 – 12 in) off the ground and position it
straight ahead at the center of the machine.
In order to minimize the risk of tipping over, adapt the travel speed to
the circumstances.
Do not perform machine travel on slopes steeper than 15°.
Do not perform machine travel on slopes with a lateral angle of incli-
nation over 10°.
On lateral inclinations over 10°, pile up material to create a horizontal, firm
and level standing surface for the machine.
